HOWTO Print several pages on one with OOo

This article was first written in July 2004 for the BeezNest technical
website (http://glasnost.beeznest.org/articles/146).

OpenOffice.org does not seems to be able to print several pages on one, at first glance. This is of course possible, by using the following method:

  • open your document
  • go to menu File->Print Preview
  • select the number of pages you would like to print at once by clicking on the Page Preview: Multiple pages icon and selecting the number of rows and columns you want
  • click on the Print Page View icon
  • you’re done!

It may be necessary to play with the page layout (Portrait or Landscape) in the printer settings, though.

For OOo Impress, it is even possible to do this: View->Master->Handout. When you’re there, choose Format->Modify Layout.
